Siapo design

Talofa lava bloggers!

This week is Samoan language week and we have been looking and learning about the siapo (also known as a tapa) and how they are created. I have learnt how to make a siapo.

Did you know that the colours that they use for the siapo are all taken from the natural environment in Samoa. For example turmeric is used to make the colour yellow.

We then had a go at creating a siapo using google drawing. If you look carefully you might notice that some of my shapes have also been rotated. I had to resize some of the symbols and my patterns too.

Hello bloggers! Today my home learning task was drawing myself In a digital portrait. I didn't know how to do It but my brother told me what to do. So what I had to do was take a photo of myself and then use the curved lines and shapes to draw around my photo. It was really fun I hope you guys like it.

Happy mothers day Mum

Hello bloggers! Today´s home learning task was to make something special for my Mum for Mothers day. I helped make my Mum pancakes and I made her a cup of tea all by myself. She was really happy. I also wrote her a nice card. Thank you for everything Mum.
